"Exhauster / Compressor" is Joe Nix’s new series of realistic paintings in oils and in larger scale with spray paint; focused on documenting one of Seattle’s most recognizable landmarks from one of its lesser known vantage points.

Step into the mechanical guts and inner-workings of Seattle’s Gas Works Park and explore the intricate pipework and abandoned machinery inside one of Seattle most iconic locations. Brightly colored pipes and colossal machine-works merge to create elaborately shadowed layers for Nix’s realistic compositions.
