Artist Statement
“Welcome to the exhibit, "A real person standing in a cartoon room”, which is a phrase that runs through my head all the time and is autobiographical to me.  The proof of this is evidenced here in the form of a large series of artworks I’ve created on canvas squares but are comprised of everyday scraps of papers and textures mixed with my drawings and paint applications which reflect everyday chance and the world around me.”
-Nick Zaremba

About Nick Zaremba
Born in 1979, Nick Zaremba works as a multimedia artist based in Boston, Massachusetts.

His youthful yet conceptual artwork ranges from small drawings and prints to site specific 3D installations and large scale murals.
When making work, Zaremba combines influences from his youth, skateboarding, DIY ideology, fascination with nature and graffiti with the topics of color, space, time, psychology, semiotics, childhood, and symbolism.

Since 2001 Nick has exhibited on the East Coast of the U.S. as well as globally from Hong Kong to Montreal. Most notably, he was part of a two-person exhibition at Gladstone Gallery in New York, as well as featured as one of the “40 Artists You Should Know” in the nationally juried publication; New American Painters.

Zaremba’s work has been acquired by prestigious collections, including Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Collection - From Shohaku and Rosanjin to Anselm Kiefer- which was shown at the Yokahama Museum of Art in Japan in 2016.

As well as his fine art, Nick Zaremba’s commercial clients have included Converse, Toy2R, Neiman Marcus, Pepsi, and Vans.
