About Catherine Casias

Born in 1981 in San Antonio Texas. Catherine received a Bachelors in Philosophy from the University of Texas in 2004 and upon graduating attended Parsons New School of Design. Her work is a focus on the narrative of dream illusions. Inspired by photography and film her work is a concentration of pen and ink to create ethereal landscapes that resemble moments from subconscious memories and dreams to inspire new realities. The art is a patchwork of images that are meant to give an impression of dream realities with no laws or consistencies but rather a visual stream of consciousness that best parallels the visions of a dreamer.
